sensus

Common sense, built into procurement.

In one working day, your ERP export becomes a spend analysis with prioritised opportunities. From there, sensus takes you through category strategy to the signed contract – for Swiss industrial SMEs, without an IT project or an enterprise budget.

Pilot programme from December 2026 – limited places.

In SwitzerlandYour procurement data is hosted and processed in Swiss data centres.

Up to 70 percent of your revenue goes to suppliers. Little of it is actively managed.

In most industrial SMEs, procurement is busy with operations: placing orders, chasing deliveries, solving shortages. Strategic work lacks time and a basis. Five findings we see in almost every company:

  • No transparency

Nobody can say at short notice which categories are the largest. The data sits in the ERP, but not in a form you can analyse.

  • Awards out of habit

Supplier relationships have grown historically. Whether a category was ever tendered, often nobody remembers.

  • Contracts without overview

Contracts live in folders, inboxes and people's heads. Notice periods lapse and contracts renew automatically.

  • Tools that don't fit

Established procurement suites are built for corporations: high implementation costs, months-long projects, a dedicated team to run them.

  • Consulting that fades

A project delivers the analysis – as slides. Afterwards there is no tool to keep it current. Two years later, it all starts again.

From ERP export to signed contract.

sensus guides you through the methodology of strategic procurement – in the order an experienced head of procurement would follow.

  1. Day one

    Upload your data

Vendor invoices as Excel or CSV from your ERP. sensus maps the columns, checks data quality and merges duplicate suppliers.

    • Abacus, SAP Business One, Dynamics, Proffix, Infor
    • One-time vendors detected and shown separately
  2. Day one

    Create transparency

Every line is assigned to a category, with a confidence score. You see where the money goes – down to the individual invoice line.

    • ABC analysis and supplier concentration
    • Tail spend and price development
  3. First weeks

    Opportunities and strategy

sensus derives opportunities with a reasoned potential range and positions your categories in the portfolio. You decide where to start.

    • Potential in Swiss francs, effort disclosed
    • Management report at the push of a button
  4. Ongoing

    Deliver and secure

Opportunities become initiatives with an owner and a due date. Savings are verified with finance; contracts and deadlines stay in view.

    • Initiative pipeline and savings evidence
    • Contract register with notice periods

One platform for strategic procurement.

Analysis, strategy, initiatives and contracts work on the same data. What you see in the analysis becomes an initiative – and the initiative becomes evidence.

Tomorrow you'll know where your money goes.

Structure, ABC analysis, supplier concentration, tail spend and price development – with drill-down to the individual invoice line. Your own dimensions such as site, material type or cost centre are available in every analysis.

  • Built-in category tree for industry, or your own
  • Classification with confidence scores; your corrections become rules
  • Suppliers merged from multiple vendor records
  • Item and supplier level, price per unit

Tenders

Structured price sheets, bid comparison and negotiation rounds follow in 2027 as the sensus source module. Until then, you hand over opportunities as a clean basis to your existing process.

This is how we calculate. Every figure can be traced.

Many tools present potential as a black box. sensus discloses the calculation – so you can defend it in front of your management.

PotentialCHF 84'000–148'000per year, as a range

Category logic

A built-in category tree for industry that maps to your own structure.

  • ABC analysis
  • Supplier concentration (Herfindahl index)
  • Tail spend
  • Price and volume effects

Portfolio with factor model

Profit impact and supply risk come from weighted factors, not from gut feeling.

  • Factors and weights disclosed
  • Market situation per category
  • Standard strategies per quadrant
  • Rationale required for every change

Evidence, not wishful numbers

A potential becomes a saving only once it is proven. Every initiative passes through five stages:

IdentifiedBusiness caseApprovedIn progressVerified

Made for the people responsible for procurement.

For manufacturing companies with 50 to 500 employees and CHF 5 to 100 million annual spend – machinery and plant engineering, suppliers, construction and electrical engineering.

Head of procurement

Finally know where to start – and be able to prove it.

You are stretched by operations and still expected to deliver figures and a strategy. sensus does the analysis for you and gives you a basis that stands up in front of management.

  • Spend cockpit
  • Opportunities
  • Management report

Management and owners

Your largest cost block gets a strategy.

A large share of your revenue goes to suppliers. sensus shows in Swiss francs where the potential lies, what it takes to realise it, and how far you have come.

  • Potential in CHF
  • Initiative pipeline
  • Value contribution

Finance

Savings that reach the income statement.

Every saving has a baseline, an approval and evidence. You also see contracts and notice periods at a glance.

  • Savings evidence
  • Approvals
  • Contract deadlines

Buyers

The method is built into the tool.

No corporate category manager needed: sensus guides you step by step from category to strategy to negotiation.

  • Portfolio and standard strategies
  • Negotiation preparation
  • Supplier rating

Between Excel and the enterprise suite.

Excel is quick to hand, but every analysis is a new project. Enterprise suites can do a lot, but need a team. sensus sits deliberately in between.

Frequently asked questions.

Is your question missing? Write to us at kontakt@getsensus.ch.

Which ERP systems does sensus support?

Any ERP that can export vendor invoices as an Excel or CSV file. For common Swiss systems such as Abacus, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics, Proffix and Infor you receive export instructions and our data template.

Do we need an interface or an IT project?

No. An export is enough. You update with a new export, for example every quarter.

How much effort does getting started take?

An export of vendor invoices for the last two to three years and a short conversation about your specifics. The first analysis is ready on the day you deliver the data.

Is sensus an ordering or invoicing system?

No, and that is deliberate. Orders and invoices stay in your ERP. sensus covers the strategic part – from spend analysis to contract – and replaces neither your ERP nor your master data management.

Where is our data stored, and who can see it?

Your data is stored and processed exclusively in Swiss data centres. Access is limited to the people you grant permissions to. jomax swiss works with your data only under an assignment, for example a Quick Scan.

What role does artificial intelligence play?

sensus uses it where it saves work, for example when assigning invoice lines to categories. Every suggestion shows its confidence or reasoning, and your corrections become rules. sensus suggests – you decide.

Do we need consultants to use it?

No. The methodology is built in and sensus guides you through the steps. If you want to start faster or get a second opinion, begin with a Quick Scan by jomax swiss.

What does sensus cost?

The licence is an annual subscription, tiered by your spend volume. The Quick Scan has a fixed price. Pilot customers receive reduced, guaranteed terms. You receive a concrete quote after a short conversation.

Which companies is sensus made for?

Manufacturing companies with 50 to 500 employees and CHF 5 to 100 million annual spend that have an ERP but no procurement system. Below CHF 5 million the effort rarely pays off – and we will tell you so.

See your own figures.

Send us a short request. We will get back to you within two working days and discuss what data a Quick Scan needs.
